The Groundwork techniques Luke teaches in his clinics is the same method he’s relied on for nearly 40 years, working with thousands of horses in a wide range of situations. Whether it's handling foals, starting colts, or float loading, this technique serves as a versatile tool for all stages of horsemanship, even providing a foundation for working at liberty.
Developed by Ray Hunt, under whom Luke personally studied, this method is widely used by horse professionals around the world.
Luke brings a wealth of experience, both from Australia and abroad, breaking the process down into easy-to-follow, step-by-step instructions. In the clinic, groundwork and ridden work are taught in group settings, while liberty training is done one-on-one with Luke. There’s also an optional bonus session—The Boom—a special two-hour learning experience on Saturday afternoon.
Each clinic runs from 9am-5pm on Saturday and 8am-4pm on Sunday, with limited spots for just 10 participants. It’s suitable for new horse owners, those looking to solidify foundational skills, or experienced horsemen wanting to add a new tool to their repertoire. The cost for the weekend is $400.
